Hey guys, here comes another quick post for any natural looking makeup lovers out there. I have mixed feelings about the YSl Sheer Candy lip balms ($32). First, the packaging is really pretty and amazing. I don't know why but it reminds me of Parisian carousels. It's also heavy and luxurious feeling. The lip balms come in a variety of colors and they are mostly really sheer but can built up to look like you're wearing a light lipstick.
I first ordered cool guava but it was too blue/pink and light for my lips. Then I went into the mall and tried 04 Succulent Pomegranate and 06 Luscious Cherry. Both of them were flattering for my skin tone but I didn't like the yellow shimmer in the Luscious Cherry one. Instead I went for the 04 Succulent Pomegranate which is a bright pink. It smells like guava heaven and applies really smoothly. At first it makes your lips feel hydrated, but then it dries out within an hour. So be warned, if you are looking for something to hydrate your lips throughout the day then this is not the product for you. Otherwise the color, the scent and the packaging are all really wonderful.
