Lush Mint Julips

Hi everyone,

I'm back. :) It's so cold outside and I don't have a winter coat, so I've decided it's more of a stay inside and drink hot cocoa kind of blog day. So here goes my review on Lush Mint Julips ($10) lip scrub. During the dead of winter I purchased this little pot of gold that tastes like mint chocolate chip. It's a sugar scrub for dry lips and it works like a charm. All you have to do is wet your lips and scrub away. For anyone who has dry skin or just wants to have smoother lips before lipstick application, I highly recommend this product. At ten dollars it is pricey, but it smells and tastes nice and it comes in a handy dandy travel friendly glass pot. Also, a little goes a long way.
Just like the scrumptious cocktail served in hot southern summers, Mint Julips is packed full of fresh peppermint and sweet castor sugar. Peppermint is responsible for that ‘tingly feeling’ you get after brushing your teeth or using lip balm, so we thought it would make a perfect addition to our lip scrub! Plus, it makes Mint Julips tastes like a big, creamy bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream.

Yum.

Mini Haul

I don't go shopping that much anymore, but yesterday my friend wanted to go check out Nordstrom Rack in Tukwila and since we were in the area, we went to the Westfield Southcenter. I only picked up a scarf at the rack since I've wearing more scarves lately and need more when the weather starts to get cold. They had some really nice ones for about $9.50 to $11 something. Really soft fabric in rainbows of colors. They had a beautiful dark teal, mint, pinks, but I ended up getting this black one with an ombre/gradient look (photo below).

Went to Macy's since I knew they had these Marc Jacobs perfume roller ball as a set and I am loviiiing it! Perfect to tuck into my purse for on the go touch ups if needed. I absolutely lust over Daisy So Fresh.

I have been looking for a blazer for the last... maybe 2 years or so and was so lucky to found one at all places, Forever 21! This blazer fits me perfectly and I love that even if I button it up, it doesn't get tight around my chest area. Perfect blazer! The scarf is the one I mentioned above.

Lastly, we popped into Lush since my friend has never been and I recently made an online order, so I didn't need anything, but I did pick up this Dragon Egg bath bomb which I'm really excited to try!

Overall, it was a long but good day at the mall. Sorry, I haven't been posting as much! Trying not to spend copious amounts of money. Also, Congrats to Kristy O. for winning our first giveaway and Thank you so much to everyone who participated! If you didn't win this time around, know that we are planning another giveaway sooooon!

Lush Bath Bombs

A little birdie once told me about Lush products. Ok I lied, Yen once bought me The Comforter Bubble Bar from Lush and it was AWESOME. However, tonight I decided to try the Twilight Bath Bomb ($5.95, right one)

Recreate the magic of a starry night in your bath water with clouds of lavender, ylang ylang and ovaltine to fight the demons of insomnia and soothe your stressed out body and mind. Our most relaxing Bath Bomb yet, Twilight is our gentle, reassuring hug for the bath to transform you from worn out to warm and fuzzy. It changes colour like the sky at dusk, from pinks to purples and darker still. Lay back in the comforting herbal waters to soak your troubles far, far away.

To be honest, I was a bit disappointed with the theatrics of the bomb... I thought I was going to get a fizzball explosion of pink and blue swirls, but instead I got a slow turning melting fizz ball that didn't create the pretty ice cream swirls I wanted. The water looked ok as well. It turned my bath into a clear lavender color with silver sparkles in it. I'd say the BEST thing about this bath bomb was the smell. It smelled like Lavender fruit which was sooo delicious! I even smell nice after my bath which is great as well. However, my skin didn't feel too hydrated and I still had to apply some lotion after to my dry skin. Still, it's a great treat for those looking for relaxation. I never thought a bath bomb could relax me that much but it really did.

Next, I tried the Space Girl Bath Bomb ($4.95, left one) which was fun and sparkly. Not as sparkly as the Twilight bath bomb but it turned my bath into a pretty clear purple. The scent wasn't as strong and I definitely enjoyed the fizziness of this one.

Overall, I absolutely LOVE Lush products. They are a girls best friend to great smelling soft skin and total relaxation. I will definitely be purchasing more!

Xoxo,

Jenny
