Nature's Gate Asian Pear & Red Tea Shampoo and Conditioner

Hello everyone!

Today I will be reviewing Nature's Gate Asian Pear & Red Tea Shampoo and Conditioner ($9 each). How are all of our lovely readers doing? I hope everyone is having a fantastic summer. I know I am really enjoying the summer sun and just being outdoors. Anyways, back to the review. So, this is actually the second time I ended up buying a shampoo from Nature's Gate. I have mixed feelings about the results of the product, but the smell, ohhh the smell is ridiculously good. It smells exactly like freshly crushed pears in a bottle. Soo good, right?

I'm just a sucker for good smelling products. The shampoo and conditioner itself are good, but not great. I have extremely dry hair and I still need something a bit more conditioning. Redken's All Soft Conditioner is a really good one. Also, something about this shampoo causes my scalp to flake. Gross I know, sorry. After buying this shampoo for a second time and seeing the same issue, I don't think I will be purchasing it again. I may however keep the conditioner in my steady rotation of shower items. A little bit of Asian pear conditioner never hurts anyone. :)

Aubrey Skin Care

Hello everyone!

So recently I've gone back to exploring all kinds of organic products. I also made a new discovery which is Mother's Market, an organic market/restaurant that also carries an amazing selection of natural skin care items. Basically, heaven! After browsing through the many different skin care lines, I decided to give Aubrey skin care a try. I have really dry and sensitive skin which constantly leaves me searching for products with simple yet effective ingredients. I chose the Revitalizing Therapy Toner ($12) and the Revitalizing Therapy Moisturizer ($18) for dry skin.

I've been using these both for two weeks now and my skin looks great! It's not irritated and it's not dry either. I've also been pairing it with my Ole Henrikson Vitamin C serum in the meantime and it seems to work well for my skin. It's consistency is just right, not too heavy and not too liquid. Two to three pumps is all I need to cover my face, neck, and chest. The moisturizer has vitamin E (great for skin!) and organic Rosa Mosqueta Oil a natural antioxidant. The product is completely organic, and for 18 dollars I really think it's a steal.

The toner is great as well. I spray some on a cotton pad and use it to remove the extra dirt and grime on my face and to level out the ph in my skin. Toner is important because it balances your ph level so that all nutrients can be equally absorbed into your skin.

If you're interested in Aubrey products, I suggest going to your nearest Mother's Market to test out some of their products. The store has testers for pretty much all of their beauty items. Organic Eyelash Conditioner

I am so excited today to share with you my new discovery of Organic Eyelash Conditioner ($11.50) by Cosmo Verde on Etsy. Have you guys tried Etsy before? It's an online shopping community where you can buy all sorts of handcrafted items. Basically, it's like the greatest online farmers market EVER.

Anyways, I came across this organic skin care store called Cosmo Verde when I was looking for organic eyelash serums. I decided to purchase an organic one because many of the eyelash growth products on the market today have harmful ingredients that can cause permanent side effect damage such as iris discoloration. Yikes. Not to mention how expensive they are!

The one that I got from Cosmo Verde is completely handmade and made from natural ingredients such as castor oil, grapeseed oil, and jojoba oil. The results? It actually works! I've been using this serum for three weeks now and I saw most of the length growth happen in the few first days. I also saw a few of my lashes come out, but they were quickly replaced with new ones growing in. After three weeks my lashes are slightly longer and stronger looking. Since I have really sensitive skin, I can tell you that I am really thrilled that I haven't had any allergic reactions from it.

I use it after I've washed my face and before I go to bed. It comes in a clear tube and you brush it on like you're wearing mascara. The seller even gave me a free sample of organic goat milk soap too, which I love. I'm so excited with this product and I can't wait to share my discovery with everyone. Organic Vanilla Bean Hand Cream

Have I told you how obsessed I've been with Etsy? I can't get enough of this website! Anyhoo, today I will be reviewing a Vanilla Bean Hand Cream ($8) by SkinCraft Organics on Etsy. I absolutely adore organic products, and I also adore all things Vanilla Bean, so when I saw this product for sale, I lurched. The hand cream comes in a 2 oz plastic jar and it's made out of jojoba oil, shea butter, coconut oil, arrowroot powder, and vanilla oil. Sounds soo delicious, right? The texture is very very moisturizing and is a bit more on the oily side.

However, if you have really dry skin like me, this would be a great product for you. I have been using this at nighttime before I go to bed, and just letting it absorb overnight. I also use it after I wash my hands or just throughout the day. The smell is super delicious, it smells exactly like Vanilla Bean and it's not overpowering at all. So nice.

The seller was even generous enough to send free samples of butter body and lavender powder deodorant (not pictured.) The body butter texture is similar to the hand cream texture which is kind of thick but quickly melts into an oil. It left my skin super smooth and moisturized! I also love how the seller has posted the expiration date at the bottom of the jar showing that the product should be used up within six months. With all the chemicals being used in today's beauty products, I am really thankful for completely organic products. Do any of you have any favorite organic products? If so, which ones?
