Mini Haul

I don't go shopping that much anymore, but yesterday my friend wanted to go check out Nordstrom Rack in Tukwila and since we were in the area, we went to the Westfield Southcenter. I only picked up a scarf at the rack since I've wearing more scarves lately and need more when the weather starts to get cold. They had some really nice ones for about $9.50 to $11 something. Really soft fabric in rainbows of colors. They had a beautiful dark teal, mint, pinks, but I ended up getting this black one with an ombre/gradient look (photo below).

Went to Macy's since I knew they had these Marc Jacobs perfume roller ball as a set and I am loviiiing it! Perfect to tuck into my purse for on the go touch ups if needed. I absolutely lust over Daisy So Fresh.

I have been looking for a blazer for the last... maybe 2 years or so and was so lucky to found one at all places, Forever 21! This blazer fits me perfectly and I love that even if I button it up, it doesn't get tight around my chest area. Perfect blazer! The scarf is the one I mentioned above.

Lastly, we popped into Lush since my friend has never been and I recently made an online order, so I didn't need anything, but I did pick up this Dragon Egg bath bomb which I'm really excited to try!

Overall, it was a long but good day at the mall. Sorry, I haven't been posting as much! Trying not to spend copious amounts of money. Also, Congrats to Kristy O. for winning our first giveaway and Thank you so much to everyone who participated! If you didn't win this time around, know that we are planning another giveaway sooooon!

Zoya Nail Polish Haul

Awhile back Zoya had a back to school BOGO sale and you were limited to only 8 bottles (buy 4 get 4 free) which I did just that. I apparently have a really hard time finding Zoya products in my area, so when I first heard about this sale, I definitely wanted to jump on it as quickly as possible.

My order couldn't of came at a better time! It arrived the day before my birthday, so you know I was beyond ecstatic, but once I started to unpackage everything, I was extremely saddened that one of the bottles broke in transit and it's content spilled everywhere and things were stuck to it. I did, rip off the polishes inside the box and cleaned up the spill with nail polish remover, but there are bits and pieces of cardboard stuck to it. As well as some of the name stickers have came off.

With it being Labor Day weekend, I wasn't sure customer service was open and I tried to reach out to them through Twitter over the weekend with no tweet back til Monday or Tuesday. I ended up going on live chat yesterday and spoke to someone named Shelle W and she was really nice and responded to me quickly. I ended up emailing her the photos I'm posting here of the damage and lo and behold, she emailed me back this morning with amazing news that Zoya is going to replace my 6 damaged bottles. *WOOT WOOT* Shelle W, you are amazing! Thank you so much to Zoya for sending me replacements! Which I haven't received yet of course, but amazing customer service!

Here are the color swatches from my Zoya order and the last one is Radium by Illamasqua from my Glossybox. A lot of the colors are not showing up true to their color in person. Even the ones are their website. The color Charteuse is in, but to me, it looks a bit like Shrek or boogers. I also listed the links to all the colors if you want to check them out on their website.

Cassi (ZP 472) is like a soft peachy color with a bit of sheen to it.
Whitney (ZP 439) is actually a darker pink. A little more fuschia.
Pru (ZP 382) actually has gold sparkles in.
Frida (ZP 640) is actually a very sheer teal.
Kelly (ZP 519) is a dark and soft grey.
Caitlin (ZP 540) is a dark soft purple.
Charity (ZP 381) dark mauve rose color.

Skin Food Makeup

Hi everyone!

So today, I decided to check out the Korean skin care and beauty brand called Skin Food. I was first introduced to this brand a few years ago while I was abroad in Thailand, so I was really excited that it's finally here in California. They mostly have a range of skin care products that are named and made from fruit and vegetable ingredients. The packaging alone is really pretty and alluring.

Today, I decided to pick up a few of their makeup items which I will list below the name and link to them. Anyways, I got two cream blushes or "Rose Cheek Chalk" in a pink and peach color. I also got a lipstick that looks like a bright pink berry color. It's quite sheer but I like that. I also got a lip and cheek tint in a bright pink/orange. Their colors are also exactly like they show in the pots.

Here are the products listed:

1. Candy Moist Rouge in #352 Peanut Berry $11
2. Fresh Fruit Lip & Cheek in Grapefruit $12
3. Rose Cheek Chalk in #2 Rose Peach $9.80 (left)
4. Rose Cheek Chalk in #3 Rose Orange $9.80 (right)

I love how tiny and cute their makeup products are, I almost want to get a tiny purse just to carry them around with me like little makeup treasures.

I hope you all will get to check out a Skin Food store near you. Thanks for reading. :)

Jenny

Cosmetic Love Haul

Hey everyone! I'm so excited to get my Cosmetic Love stuff in the mail. Cosmetic Love is an online shop that sells Korean skin care and makeup brands such as Lioele, Etude House, and etc... All of the stuff looks so pretty and I can't wait to test them out. I will have individual reviews and swatches of the items later. They also sent me quite a few free samples of pore strips, Skin Food toner, TONYMOLY powder puffs and bb creams. SO AWESOME.

I will be back to review the lipglosses, lipsticks, cheek stains, and eyebrow pencil. See you soon!

Xoxo,

Jenny

Skin 79 BB Cream

Hi everyone! I'm so excited to finally review my first try of BB creams. I purchased the Skin79 sample set from Amazon and I cannot say I am disappointed. In fact, I am quite delighted! The creams vary slightly in color and the silver Pearl one is the only one with some fun shimmer.

My skin tone is medium-fair and I usually wear soft beige in Chanel Double Perfection Compact. My favorite one out of the four was the light pink Diamond Collection tube. This one was pretty much perfect for my skin and had a nice velvety ivory look to it. The Skin79 colors have little variance amongst them, but the gold and dark pink tubes are slightly more yellow/dark. I would recommend these for the summer or for more medium skin tones.
What I love the most about these BB creams is that they are lighter than a foundation, but cover better than a powder. They make pores smaller and redness disappear creating a very flattering effect. So far, they are not oily on my dry/sensitive skin.

Now for the swatches.. from left to right accordingly

You can definitely see how the first two are a bit darker than the last two, but they do oxidize a bit to adjust to your skin tone. However, I do not recommend these particular ones for darker skin tones because although they oxidize, they will remain a certain shade. Instead, I would recommend Missha BB creams because they have more color shades.

I will be trying more BB creams to come, but so far I am LOVING the Skin79 Diamond collection!

Xoxo,

Jenny

Revlon Balm Stain

After seeing so many rave reviews about Revlon Just Bitten Kissable balm stain, I felt the need to run out to my nearest Walgreens, which I was a little disappointed since there were just a few left and not the exact colors I wanted. I did pick up Smitten and Cherish which I made a post about in my personal blog at GHOTH.

Last week I went back to Walgreens mainly just to buy a birthday card and saw that more colors were in stock and I had a really hard time picking just two (since it they had their bogo sale), but I went with Lovesick and Sweetheart which are bright and very pigmented compared to Cherish and I am seriously in looooooooove with their balm stains! Cherish is pretty light against my natural lip color, but it does give my lips this pretty natural pink color which Jenny says looks really good! Smitten is a little darker and more red wine color, so I would probably wear that when going out for a nice dinner with friends or hubby. Lovesick is a little more magenta/fuschia dark berry toned and Sweetheart looks a little on the Barbie pink side.

Revlon Balm Stain at $8.99 a piece is pretty awesome compared to Tarte's Lip Surgence at $24! Even if your local drugstore does not have the bogo sale, they are still definitely worth the try!
