February Glossybox

Hello everyone! How are you all today? I hope your week is going well. I'm sorry for the late post. Yesterday I got into a car accident when a truck tried to make pate out of me on the freeway, so I literally just spent the rest of the day snuggling my cat in bed. But, all is well and onto February's Glossybox!

I have to say I was happy with this month's box. There were at least two items I really liked. Let's take a look inside..

1. Puffy the Eyebag Slayer Wake Up Under Eye Patches ($11 for box of 3) - I love these eye patches! This was my favorite item in the entire box. The box comes with 3 sets of eye patches that stick well to your skin. They're like jello sucking pads that stay put like stickers. I love how I can stick them on, do something for 30 minutes and throw them away. I have to say they only lightened my dark circles a smudge, but it makes me happy when I know I am doing something proactive for my skin. I thought these were super fun and I would definitely buy them again.

2. Nail Couture in City of Angels ($18)- Wow, 18 for a nail polish? Sometimes I really wonder how nail polish evolved to be so expensive. Anyways, I think it's a really pretty ballet pink color that would look great on many skin tones. I plan on trying it out once I remove my current gel mani.

3. Aqua Lacquer in Splashing Scarlett ($14)- Ahhh, I feel so lucky to receive this gloss in my box. A full size pretty strawberry lip gloss? Yes please! The color is a sheer reddish pink and looks good for those no makeup days.

4. Kala Color Intense Pencil ($15)- This eyeliner goes on like a wet intense black. However, I had some trouble getting it to glide evenly without clumps. I think it would've been so much better if it came with a smudger on the end. Nothing compares to the deep, rich color of this eyeliner. Transform your eyes, add gorgeous definition and make the whites whiter by simply drawing the line. Ideal for use on the inner water line of your eye, as well as the outer lash. Don’t worry, you can blend and play, but it will last all day... and all night.

5. COLOUR FANATIC Multi-Tasking Hair Beautifier for Color-Treated Hair ($24)- I have yet to use this multi spray yet, but I will later. I know Pureology makes great products so I'm looking forward to trying this. Introducing COLOUR FANATIC™, a first of its kind multi-tasking hair treatment spray that provides 21 essential benefits to prime, protect, and perfect colour-treated hair.

What did you guys think of this month's box? Have you tried any of the products before? I hope you enjoyed reading this post and I will see you soon! :)

January Glossybox

Hello everyone! How are you doing? Today's post will be on the January Glossybox. This month we received the infamous beauty blender and some other great quality items. Lets take a look at what was inside…

1. TONI&GUY Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray ($15)- Creates texture and body with light hold - perfect for achieving a lived-in, beach look.

2. the original beautyblender ($20)- A flawless look starts with the perfect canvas – clean, beautiful, even skin. Celebrity makeup artist Rea Ann Silva, creator of the original beautyblender® took her expertise in creating a flawless face one step further with the introduction of beautyblender.pure. So since I normally only use bb cream and I use my fingers to apply the product, I will most likely be gifting this to a friend.

3. Bellápierre Cosmetics Mineral Blush in Desert Rose ($20)- This blush is gorgeous! It's a beautiful mineral powder blush that goes on like the most natural rosy flush ever. Discover fabulous, good-for-you cheek color. This creamy, super sheer all mineral blusher gives you a beautiful, healthy tone that looks natural.

4. Vichy Aqualia Thermal Rich Cream ($31)- I've been using this moisturizer all week. It works well and it doesn't have much of a scent. It's a good moisturizer but I swear nothing can compare to Fresh's Lotus face cream. A fortifying and soothing moisturizer that delivers 48-hours of continuous hydration for dry, dehydrated skin. Visibly improves skin’s radiance and texture, and prevents signs of premature aging with antioxidants.

5. Balance Me Super Toning Body Wash ($14)-This body wash smells like herbs. It didn't dry out my skin and I felt neutral about it. Our uplifting super toning body wash has been designed to improve skin tone, soften, smooth and encourage good circulation thanks to the unique blend of natural active ingredients found in juniper, bergamot, geranium and lavender.

I thought this box was great! There were so many high quality products that would've cost so much more if bought alone. I loved the mineral rose blush and the generous beauty blender. Glossybox always delivers and it still remains my favorite beauty box thus far. What did you guys think of the products in this box?

December Glossybox

Hi everyone! How are you doing? I know this is a bit late but I'm trying to catch up on my box reviews, so here is the December Glossybox review. It was a good box, lets take a look inside..

1. Anatomicals You need a blooming shower! ($9.50)- I really loved this body wash. It smells exactly like roses and it didn't make my skin dry either! This vitalizing body cleanser makes every shower a flower-power experience. The natural healing properties of rose and jasmine leave you feeling as fresh and fragrant as a flower.

2. Naobay Oxygenating Cream Moisturizing ($56)- Out of everything in this box I was most excited to try this product. Because I have finicky eczema prone skin I am always on the hunt for a great moisturizer. I was pleased with the product and it worked well. It's a bit thicker than I normally like, but it was still non-greasy and provided plenty of hydration. Oxygenating Cream moisturizes, protects and softens: this universal cream meets, in a single product, the essential needs of hydration for all skin types. Its special composition based on high-quality plant extracts and organic vegetable oils, such as Rosehip oil and Sweet Almond oil, helps ideally balance the skin’s hydrolipidic film.

3. Michael Todd True Organics Pumpkin Nutrient-Rich Facial Mask ($34)- This mask smells so much like fresh pumpkin you will think it's Thanksgiving. And exfoliant lovers will give Thanks! That tingle is the pumpkin enzyme combining with glycolic acid to go to town on your skin’s flaws dissolving impurities like dead skin and clogged pores. Adds brightness and radiance to the skin and significantly improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles after a single use.

4. nails inc. Victoria Polish ($9.50)- This nail polish is SO gorgeous! I already own a lot of vampy like colors but this one was unique. It was a bit red, a bit antique-y, and really shiny too. After two or three coats the color became opaque and wore for two weeks with a bottom and top clear coat.

5. Ardency Inn PUNKER World’s Baddest Eyeliner ($19)- PUNKER eyeliner is easier to use than traditional liquid liners and offers endless possibilities of application. Its oversized felt tip applicator tapers to a precise point for maximum versatility. The short and thick “maker pen” design allows for optimum control during application. The high performance formula glides on smooth and quick-dries to a long lasting finish. Because I prefer thinner eyeliners, I will be gifting this to a friend.

I thought this box was good again. I loved the Victoria nail polish and the Anatomicals rose body wash. What did you guys think of this box? Thank you so much for reading and see you next Monday! :)

Germany December Glossybox

Hello everyone!

Happy 2014 and hope everyone's year is off to a great start. Personally, I'm really looking forward to 2014 because I am in the process of moving to Germany to start a new adventure. Between furnishing my apartment and picking up a new language I have been super busy lately. However, I can't wait to jump back into blogging here because there are so many great new products to be reviewed. The beauty industry in Germany is incredible and they have so many natural organic skin care and makeup items. Without further ado, I give you my two cents on Germany's December Glossybox.

Gorgeous pacakaging as usual…

1. Bella Pierre Mineral Blush in Dessert Rose (£29.99)- When I first opened this box I was most excited to this get blush! It's mineral, rosy, and costs a whopping 30 pounds! The color wears like a very natural faint rose on my skin and it's super pretty. It's one of those blushes for my no makeup, makeup days. In short, it's awesome.

2. Mary Kay Satin Hands Hand Cream ($10)- Yup, another hand cream in my box. I can never get enough of hand creams and I was happy to receive this. The hand cream goes on super light and it absorbs really quickly as well. Loves it!

3. Batiste Dry Shampoo ($7.49)- Ah! An original Bastiste Dry Shampoo. I actually have another one in Cherry and I really like it. Dry shampoo has vastly improved the quality of my life by saving shower time and not stripping my hair of it's natural oils. The scent of this one is fresh and a bit florally. I always have a dry shampoo laying around somewhere. :)

4. nails inc. Victoria Polish (£11.00)- Victoria nail polish is a deep cherry red shade. Victoria can be worn with any colour, any outfit and for any occasion. I painted two coats and it's like a vampy dark red. Very pretty and suitable for the winter.

5. Eau Thermale Avène D-Pigment Rich Dark Spot Lightener, 30ml (£35.00)- Eau Thermale Avène D-Pigment Rich Dark Spot Lightener is a treatment for dry to very dry skin which corrects localised or widespread brown spots, prevents the appearance of new brown spots and evens out the skin's complexion. I will test this on my sun spots eventually!

As a bonus they threw in a free mini notebook for notes. So cute! Yeah, I have to say that Glossybox seems consistently awesome in America and in Germany. I was really happy with this box and I will definitely be continuing this subscription. Thank you so much for following us and supporting us. I can't wait to bring you all new product reviews from both America and Germany in 2014! Have a wonderful week! <3

November Glossybox

Hello beauties!

How is everyone doing? I hope your Monday is off to a good start. November's Glossybox is here and it's quite good. Lets take a look at what was inside..

1. Mastey Color Protecting Leave-in Oil Treatment with Argan Oil & Olive Oil (full size $40)- Yes a hair oil! Thank you Glossybox for introducing me to the glorious world of hair oils. I put this oil in my damp hair and let my hair air dry. The result is hydrated and smooth hair. My cow licks even disappeared. Mastey's Color Protecting Leave In Oil Treatment is a special combination of Certified Argan Oil, Olive Oil, and GrapeSeed Extract. This unique combination provides the maximum protection and healing for color treated and damaged hair.

2. Jelly Pong Pong 2-in-1 Shadow/liner in Plum (full size $10.50)- This eyeshadow/liner glides on smoothly and easily. I like the application and the color was more of a mauve rather than a plum. The color didn't look too good on me, but it would look beautiful on someone else. A uniquely formulated crayon that doubles as an eyeliner for thick, precise lines as well as a perfectly-blended eye shadow. The exclusive combination of Italian-formulated waxes and pigments allows you to build up the colour, smudge or create bold lines quickly and easily.

3. Nicka K Blending Brush (full size $5)- Yess! A blending brush. I was just looking for a blending brush the other day and couldn't find a good affordable one. This one is soft and only five bucks. Score! Ideal for all over shadow, or for applying airbrushed, natural final touches to any eye look, our Nicka K Professional blending brush is a must-have, versatile addition to any brush collection.

4. The Aloe Source Jojoba Radiance Cleansing Polish (full size $30)- This cleanser has small beads in it and smells just like aloe. This multi-tasking, sulfate-free cleanser effectively removes makeup, oil and impurities. Gently exfoliates with a combination of jojoba microbeads and alpha and beta hydroxy acids, while nourishing aloe vera soothes skin.

5. Emite Eyeshadow in Dams (full size $27)- What a luxurious product to give us Glossybox. I could see this eyeshadow being used for a smokey eye look, or even just as eyeliner.

What did you guys think of this month's Glossybox? Thank you so much for reading! <3

October Glossybox

Hi everyone!

Today I will be reviewing the latest Byrdie box from October's Glossybox. I was so happy to receive this month's box. Glossybox sent out items from Tarte and Fresh this month, which are two of my favorite beauty brands! Lets take a look at what was inside the box..

1. Tarte's Lights, Camera, Flashes, Statement Mascara (full size $23)- Amazing! A full sized mascara from Tarte, whoo hoo! I got gorgeous long feathery non clumpy lashes with this mascara. The wand has two different sides. The first side gives volume to your lashes, and the second is to comb out the clumps. The only downside was that I had some fallout with this mascara.

2. Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream (full size $42)- A daily age-defying moisturizer formulated with Fresh’s proprietary Super 7 Complex, proven to prevent the signs of aging, provide 24 hours of significant moisture, and boost radiance. Sometimes I really feel like Glossybox can read my mind. I've been eyeing this face cream for a while now but haven't take the plunge on it yet. The sample I received was a generous sized sample, yay! The face cream is super lightweight and fast absorbing. My skin didn't feel greasy or dry. It felt hydrated, refreshed and super clear the next day. I would buy this!

3. Balance Me Shine On! Tinted Lip Salve (full size $16.50)-Ok.. so I wasn't too excited about this lip salve because I got such an unappetizing color. The color I got was like a brown beige color. Other than that, the salve itself is really moisturizing and nice.

4. Sesha Rejuvenating Anti-Wrinkle Mask (full size $9)- Packed with nutrients, peptides, vitamins, and botanical extracts, this anti-wrinkle mask not only smoothes fine lines and wrinkles, it also calms the skin from environmental stresses to rejuvenate it back to a youthful glow. Awesome, another face mask. I love face masks because they're so easy to use and give me the boost my skin needs. This mask was really moisturizing and packed full of hyaluronic acid, which left my skin looking taut and young.

5. Bvlgari Eau Parfumee Au The Vert Eau De Cologne (full size $85)- This green tea cologne is suitable for both men and women. Spritz and enjoy. Although I'm not a big fan of perfume, this one smells sophisticated and minty.

August Glossybox

Hello everyone!

How are all of you doing? August's Glossybox is here and I have to say that I am quite happy with this box! There is nothing better to coming home to a lovely box of goodies and getting a lipstick shade that actually flatters your skin. Let's take a look at what was inside of this month's box.

1. Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush in Marshmallow Pink (full size $12)- A moisturizing lip stain that tints your lips with just the right amount of juicy colour and hydrates like a balm. Apply liberally, purse and let the silky lightweight texture melt onto your lips. How fun is this pink lip stain? I absolutely love lip stains because they are comfortable to wear and generally look more natural. This soft petal pink lipstick looks more hot pink on the lips and looks really good with a post summer tan. I love it! Ok, next item...

2. ModelCo Eyeshadow in Bronze Goddess (full size $22)- When I first saw this sample eyeshadow trio in my box I was soo excited. However, it's not without flaws. The light golden color is very light and very very flakey. The color comes out in large flakes which is hard to blend out. The darker color doesn't seem to have this problem tho.

3. Anatomicals Spray Misty For me Facial Spritz (full size $9) - This facial spray is wonderful for a spritz while lounging at the beach or hiking the trails. It contains calming lavender and refreshing peppermint extracts, which help to rehydrate and revitalize skin. Suitable for normal, dry and sensitive skin. A part of the reason why I love Glossybox is that I get products that I would never usually pick up or try. This facial spritz is really fun and perfect for the scorching oven I'm currently living in. I sprayed it directly onto my face and it didn't irritate my eyes either. The smell is actually really pleasant and I love it!

4. Novex Brazilian Keratin Hair Care Treatment Cream (full size $4.99) - This hair care cream is an essential preemptive treatment in anticipation of the drier seasons. It contains replenishing hair proteins to restore shine and smoothness for all hair types. Start using it now for a healthy head of hair in the fall. Ok, I used this in the shower and left it in my hair for five minutes. It made my hair soft and a bit shinier.

5. Sue Devitt Triple C-Weed Pressed Powder (full size $28) - Formulated with nourishing green tea and brightening vitamin C, this lightweight pressed powder controls shine and evens out skin tone while setting makeup. It‘s soft, natural-looking skin contained in a compact, a perfect companion to have in your purse while basking in the sun. With flexible Nylon-12, Triple C-Weed Pressed Powder won't settle into fine lines to ensure a flawless finish. This lightweight pressed powder comes in a mirror compact with an ultra modern micro-sponge, making it the perfect on-the-go companion. Wow, it's really generous of Glossybox to give us a full size powder compact. I have yet to try this compact because the shade looks really light. I will have to try it later for winter.

July Glossybox

Hi everyone!

So July's Glossybox came in the mail and I have some mixed feelings on it. There are three products that I'm really happy with, and three that I'm not overly thrilled about. Let's look inside the box...

1. Brazilian Blowout Acai Deep Conditioning Masque (full size $40)- A creamy, rich, intense conditioning masque drenches the hair once a week by coating each hair strand with exclusive, nutritive proteins to eliminate frizz, promote shine, and guarantee the longest-lasting smoothing result. Yay! I've been hoping to be sent a hair mask for a long time now and was so excited to get this in my box. I left it in my hair for about 7 minutes in the shower and my hair was really soft and untangled after. It also smells like acai berries! The sample is pretty generous and I'm definitely going to get at least two more uses out of it.

2. Bvlgari Eau Parfumee au the Blanc Shampoo & Shower Gel (full size $42)- Both men and women can wear this delicate, soothing white tea scent with white pepper accents, day or evening. White Tea, the principal ingredient, has been used in China as an elixir of youth because of its antioxidant and revitalizing properties. Cultivated only a few times per year, this rare essence imparts an overall sense of well being. Ok, I have to admit I was a bit skeptical to try the Bvlgari shower gel because I have super dry skin so I'm really picky about what I use in the shower. However, I did give it a try and it's pretty good! My skin wasn't dried out and it has a really lovely flowery scent to it. As a shampoo it didn't get my hair clean. I even lathered it in twice but no luck there.

3. Evologie Intensive Blemish Serum (full size $35)-Doctor developed, patent pending, formulation that deeply penetrates the skin to quickly clear blemishes at the source. Ah! Another product I was excited to get. For the most part I have pretty clear skin, but I do get these monster pimples here and there (probably from all the chocolate I eat.) The texture of the product is a sheer creamy liquid and the scent is minty fresh. After using it morning and night for two days it shrunk my monster pimple but didn't get rid of it. I'm still quite happy with the product.

4. Figs & Rouge Cherry Blossom Tinted Lip Balm ($9)- The packaging of this lip balm is so adorable and I love how Glossybox actually sent a full size product. The balm itself is really nice, not too sticky and it smells great. However, the color just didn't flatter me so I don't know how often I'll be wearing it.

5. Nails Inc. Baker Street Nail Polish (full size 9.50)- As much as getting nail polish is great, I really don't know what I'm going to do with a cobalt blue nail polish. Pass..

6. Nicka K New York ABSOLUTE! Make-up Cleansing Tissues (full size 6.99)- Made of delicate spun lace, Absolute! Make-up Cleansing Tissues are gentle enough for sensitive complexions, but strong enough to effectively remove lipstick, eyeliner, eyeshadow and even waterproof mascara. I can always use some extra make-up wipes so i was happy to receive this in my box. Right now, it's going into my surplus box until I need it.

Overall I was pretty happy with my box and I think the hair mask is probably my favorite item out of the entire box. Do any of you subscribe to Glossybox? If so, what did you think of this month's items?

June Glossybox

June Glossybox is finally here after waiting for a whole month to receive it. *sigh* Aside from their extreme delay, at least the box itself is really pretty and the products inside were alright. In honesty, when it comes to their curated themed box, I feel like they put on this huge show and when it comes down to it, the box itself is just that, alright. Plus, on top of that, the wait. I think that's one of Glossybox's huge thing is their timing. They charge you early, but you don't actually receive it til the end of the month or like a curated box, the next month. Anyways, enough about that... let's see what we received this month!

Tarte Complexion Enhancing Lipstick in fair-to-light retail $29.00 // As always, Tarte has beautiful packaging, but sadly this nude-y pink doesn't look that great on me. The product itself glides on smooth and kept my lips pretty moisturized for hours.

Jenny's two cents- Sadly, this lipstick looks bad on me too. They are very similar in texture to Tarte's lip butters that I tried a few months back but returned because they emphasized all the cracks in my lips. Otherwise, I really love Tarte.

Sparitual Favorites Nail Polish in Kiss The Cook retail $12.00 // The color I received is a dark bloody red. Perfect for fall or during the holiday time, but way waaaay too dark for the summer. Application was smooth and dried pretty quick though.

Jenny's two cents- So, I got a pink nail polish that is so sheer I can hardly see it. This was a miss for me.

Philip B. Restorative Detangling Toning Mist retail $10-72.00 // This is realllllly nice. My hair feels incredibly soft, but the smell of the spray is really gross. Since it has apple cider vinegar in it, my hair faintly smells like feet? Or is that just my own personal issue.

c. Booth Honey Almond Nourishing Dry Oil Mist retail $8.00 // Dry oil for my face and body? Even though it's summer, my skin... especially my face has still been pretty dry. Especially after returning from California, my skin just seems to be dry up here in the pacific northwest. I sprayed it on after my shower and even though it was just the first time spraying it, it didn't help my dry skin that much. I think over time it'll work its magic. On top of that? I love the scent! Very light and reminds me faintly of almond cookies.

Oscar de la Renta retail $150.00 // *sigh* The one thing I loved about Glossybox was that there were NO PERFUME SAMPLES, but this month I got 6 of them. I don't care if it's a designer brand... perfume samples are perfume samples. 2 out of 6 scents resembles like men cologne which I like, but on a man.

Jenny's two cents-These perfumes sounded luxurious, but the packaging was cheap and the scents were too strong for me. Mine have moved downstairs for now..

May Glossybox

Hello everyone!

I present to you the May Glossybox. Perfume, hair spray, and CC cream galore! Let's take a closer look.

1. My Prime Multi-Purpose Mattifying Moisturizer (full size $68)- My Prime’s lightweight moisturizer packs a double punch with intense hydration and superior anti-aging benefits while delivering a flawless, matte finish. It also doubles as a primer that keeps your makeup on all day long. Wow! I have tried a couple of primers before but never really felt the need for one as I like to keep my skin as minimal as possible. However, this one worked really well for me. I layered it under my Amore Pacific CC cream and it worked like a charm. Not only did it hydrate my skin, but I really felt it locked in moisture and provided a smooth canvas for makeup application.

2. Nicka K New York Absolute! Perfume Stick (full size $15)- Escape the everyday with evocative scents, both refined and seductive, and each with a different secret to discover. Parceled in beautiful, boutique-inspired packaging, these addictive perfumes are perfectly sized to slip into your purse and transform your world. Mmmmm! I normally hate perfume, but this one is actually really nice. It smells like lime fruit candy but not overpowering or sickly. I really want to smell the other ones too.

3. Sebastian Professional Volupt Spray (full size $20)- The Volupt Spray is a volume-building spray gel with the cushion particle technology that best combines full volume and sensual softness. Shake well to activate its two-phase for- mula and spray on damp hair. Blowdry for extra body or air-dry to enhance waves and curls. Ok, I'm going to be honest here. I already have huge hair that can conduct electricity, so the last thing I really need is a volume spray...

4. AMOREPACIFIC Color Control Cushion Compact (full size $60)- This Color Control Cushion Compact is a multitasking wonder. It contains powerful broad-spectrum SPF protection to combat free radicals, deep hydration for replenished skin, and complete coverage for smooth skin all in one lightweight, portable compact. This was my favorite item in the entire box. It's actually a CC cream which is the evolved version of the BB cream. The product comes in a sponge soaked pot and you use a foundation sponge to dab it on your face. At first I was skeptical, but the results are nothing but amazing! The product goes on so easily and it literally erases your pores and redness. Also it looks completely natural and has SPF 50+. The sample that Glossybox sent me was 106 Almond blush which was too dark and orange, so I went out to Sephora and tried the 104 Tan Blush which is pretty close (but still a smidge dark) to my light but summer tanned skin.

If there ever was a breakthrough product of the year for me, this would be it. I really hope the company comes out with more colors because even 104 would be way too dark for fair or lighter skin tones. The entire line just seems more suited to medium skin tones. I'm really loving this CC cream because it's sheerer than a BB cream and it's perfect if you want a natural and minimal looking product to cover pores and redness.

5. European Wax Center The Exfoliate (full size $38)- This refines and polishes your skin without any harsh abrasives. Ummm, to be honest this gel exfoliator without beads smelled tropical and great but it didn't do much for my skin. I think I'll pass.

6. Etre Belle Collagen & Aloe Vera Hydro Mask (full size $40/10 masks)- This restructuring and moisturizing Collagen & Aloe Vera mask provides skin with an extreme moisture boost that improves elasticity and promotes hydration. Tip: Use it just before bedtime to reap optimum benefits. This cloth face mask is super soaked in essence. I put it on my face for about 25 minutes and my skin was super hydrated. This is the most hydrating face mask I've ever used. The next morning my skin was super soft. If you have dry skin, give this a shot.

Once again, I was super happy with my Glossybox. There are so many products that I would never pick up and try if it weren't for Glossybox. This month I was super happy with the CC cream, the face mask, and the perfume. Glossybox I love you. If you'd like to subscribe to Glossybox you can do so by clicking here. We hope you enjoyed this post and thank you so much for reading! Did any of you receive a Glossybox this month? If so, what did you think?

April Glossybox

April Glossybox! I was pretty ecstatic about this box after seeing an unboxing on Youtube. Was it just me, but did anyone else not receive a tracking number? That was pretty annoying. So, let's get out with the products for April.

Tigi Blush in Glow retail $22 // Must be blush season because this is the second one I've received for the month of April. The packaging is pretty cheap, but the color is absolutely gorgeous. I think this is one of those products where it'll be universally liked and looks greats on everyone. When I first swatched it, it was pretty pigmented and very pink, but when I applied it (with a gentle hand of course) it was the perfect shade. Definitely one of my favorite items I received this month.

Honest Organic Lip Balm in Be Simple retail 3pk for $10.95 // I am so jelly jelly of everyone who received a scented lip balm! I received Be Simple which is plan unscented. Boriiiiing. Aside from the boring scent, I love that they are made from organic jojoba and oils from olives, sunflowers and coconuts. Tahititian Tamanu oil, rich with Omega 6 & 9. Nothing but the best ingredients! Thanks Jessica Alba and friends.

Jenny's two cents- Hi guys! I'm adding into Yen's blog post. I loved this lip balm. I got the lavender mint scent and feels and smells minty on my lips. I love how it glides across my lips and I like to use it before I start my day and before I go to sleep.

Wash with Joe Coffee Mint Body Wash retail $28 // The one thing I was looking forward to turned into a huge disappointment! When I first sniffed the scent, it reminded me of the stuff you put in your dog's water to help freshen their breath. Then, when I tried to use it in the shower? I think the bottle itself is made out of hard plastic because I couldn't squeeze out the product. What's the point of having a spout on top if the bottle isn't squeezable. Yea... that was a problem. On top of that, the liquid was thin and brown which looked really gross. And the smell? Horrible! Did it work? I didn't feel extremely invigorating after. I think this is a great product for the men in our lives. Especially mine who wakes up at 4:45AM every day. I would like it more if the scent was sweeter or creamier.

Alterna Bamboo Style Boho Waves Tousled Texture Mist retail $22 // Hair styling products is one of those samples I hate to receive just like how everyone hates those perfume samples. My hair looks the same 364.5 days of the year. Yes, I'm incredibly boring like that. I have yet to try it, but I am curious to see how this will hold up in my fine, straight but thick hair.

Jenny's two cents- Ok, so I did try this product and I have really thick and wavy hair so unfortunately this product didn't do much for me. It pretty looked like I spent the at the beach and my hair looked bigger and windblown.

Bulgari Bath Tea Bag retail $9.50 // Can you believe this is worth $9.50?! Yeaaa me neither. I actually haven't used this. I rarely take baths, but I'm thinking of hanging it up in the shower instead. I have to say though, best concept ever! Everything in a neat little pouch... still getting the same benefit but without the mess.

Le Metier Replenishing Daily Solution retail $225 // I remembered we received this back in the Man Repeller box and this stuff is liquid gold! At $225 for 1.70oz? Way way overpriced. Even if I was ballllin', I wouldn't spend this much on a product.

Jenny's two cents- Whyyy oh why is this product 225 dollars?? I tried it and it was awesome. It made my skin look smoother, my pores look a lot smaller, and the redness go away. Honestly, it really works and if it were in my price range (like $60) I would repurchase it in a heart beat.

We're also hosting our blog's first year anniversary giveaway in the next couple weeks! So, stay tuned because there's 2 different prizes for 2 winners!

March Glossybox

Hello lovely readers,

This month's Glossybox was great! There were at least three full size products and they were goooood full size products. I pretty much squealed with joy when I opened this month's box. Glossybox is really amazing because it's $21 dollars a month and you get high quality makeup and skin care items. Let's take a look at what's inside.

Pixi Magic Tink Tink (full size $16) - I was so excited to get this Magic Tink Tink in my box. It's a color adapting lip balm that naturally enhances your lip color. On me, it turns my lips just a bit more pink. It's perfect for those natural makeup days. Also, the packaging is absolutely adorable! It's fairies, pink, and super purse friendly.

Elite Models Matt Liner Matt Brown (full size $15) Again, another product I was really happy to receive. I'm a huge fan of liquid liner because it's the only eyeliner that doesn't cause fallout on me and stays put all day. I've been wanting to try a brown or grey liquid liner for a long time now so I was really excited to get this. After trying this product out I have to say that I love it! I only use it on my top lash line and it's really good for precision lining or if you want to tight line your lashes. I will probably be purchasing a grey one as well.

Prestiche Essential Oil Bar Soap (full size $16.99) - This oil bar soap looks and smells really lovely. Yen says that she really loves it and it made her skin really smooth! Also the scent is pleasant and faint after you towel off.

Sebastian Professional Shaper Fierce (full size $17) - Who doesn't want more hairspray? I know I always could use some more hairspray. Since I am a yoga pant wearing graduate student that doesn't style her hair everyday I have yet to try out this product. I promise I will soon on my next schmancy night out and report back to you. :)

ModelCo CHEEK + LIP TINT in Rosy Red (full size $24) - I love how Glossybox generously gives out full size products such as this one. I loved how the formula was really sheer and non sticky. The color is like a medium berry that didn't suit my skin tone but I'm sure would look really pretty on someone else.

Well, that's it for this month's box! I really hope you enjoyed this post and thank you again for stopping by and enjoying. Have any of you tried Glossybox? If you have, feel free to leave a comment and let us know what you think of it. Until next time, much love and see you soon. :)

February Glossybox

Hello everyone! How are you all doing? I'm so glad it's finally the weekend. So, February's Glossybox has arrived and I am feeling pretty good on this one. Also, I have to say that this month's packaging was absolutely rockin. I loved the pink stuffing inside. It made me feel so girly and happy. Anyways, onto the stuff inside.

1. Bvlgari Eau Parfumee Au The Blanc Soap (full size $30)

This soap smells sooo good! I normally hate soaps or scents but this one smells so pleasant and flowery I can't stop sniffing it. I have yet to try it as I kind of want to keep it as it is. It's not everyday I get fancy Italian soap sent to my house.

2. Da Vinci Cosmetics Shimmer Powder in 7 Harmony (full size $15)

This highlighting shimmer powder can be used under the eyebrow or as a cheek highlighter. It seems a bit dark for me so I'll try it out as an eyeshadow instead.

3. Lisi Eye Definition Cream Eyeliner in water Sapphire (full size $10)

Ok, I'm not a huuuuuuge fan of cream eyeliners because I try to avoid any type of brush action period. I may not even use this one so I can't comment on how great it is. Glossybox usually sends great products, so I'm sure it's wonderful.

4. Missha Super Aqua Cell Renew Snail Hydro Gel Mask (full size $6)

This innovative hydro gel mask is an Asian beauty secret. It moisturizes, soothes, regenerates your skin, and is known to reverse skin damage as well as have natural healing powers when applied. Word on the street is it has a huge celebrity following! This face mask is definitely interesting. I have used Asian face masks before but this one is definitely a deluxe version. The mask is a jelly texture and it conveniently comes in two pieces instead of one. I felt like my skin was nice and hydrated after.

5. Nail Rock Nail Wraps (full size $8)

Yen was a fan of these shiny cheetah nail wraps so I sent them over to her. :)

Hi friends! Yen here... I'm just butting into Jenny's post since we both got a box this month and usually we have one or two different items, so I thought I'd share what's in mine. If you're a Glossybox subscriber, what did you get?

Whether you're a new subscriber to Glossybox or not, you know that most of us literally just received our January box collaboration with Man Repeller just a week or so ago. Honestly, I was surprised I received my February box so soon! This month was all about international style due to fashion week. My card says "from cleanser and skincare to prep before making an appearance, to pop of color for face" I'm sorry, but where exactly are the pop of colors at?! My samples are pretty plain and the only pop of color I see is the crinkle paper! Hmmm... Well, here's what I got for this month:

Da Vinci Shimmer Powder in Earth retail $15vfor 0.06oz // The card reads it's for under eyebrow or cheek highlighter. It's very sheer, sparkly... perfect for under the eyebrow. Since I received it in the color Earth, I would avoid using this as a cheek highlighter. I'm actually thinking of using this as an eyeshadow instead.

Missha Super Aqua Cell Renew Snail Hydro Gel Mask retail $6 for 0.98oz // I have a secret addiction to Asian face sheet masks so I was extremely excited to receive a sheet mask! I would never pay $6 for one sheet, but after trying it, I now know why it's so expensive. Unlike my el cheapo Korean face mask sheets which never comes with a backing and you have to be extremely careful when unfolding the serum soaked mask, this was divided into two parts with a plastic backing. One snail slime for my upper face and another for my lower face. I let it sit well over the 40 minutes instructed and my face was incredibly smooth after. Definitely one my favorites of this month!

LiSi Sheer Sparkle or Color Glaze lip gloss in Battery Park retail $7 for 0.31oz // I'm not a lipgloss girl. Not too sticky and I like that it's sheer.

Nail Rock Nail wraps in leopard retail $8 // I do love nail stickers especially for a quick mani, but I think I like Jenny's print so much more! Lucky me, I got a best girlfriend because she ended up sending it to me instead :) Review to come at a later date

Bvlgari Eau Parfumée au thé blanc Soap retail $30 for 5.3oz // Thanks Glossybox for a free designer brand hotel soap. I did use mine the other night and it has a nice clean, slightly floral scent and I love that even after I shower, the scent still lingered. Honestly, I would most likely never purchase the full size, but it was fun to try anyways.

January Glossybox: Man Repeller

I was really excited for the Man Repeller collab box, but the wait was overwhelmingly disappointing. As we know, Glossybox has a tendency to show up at our door step closer to the end of the month and I got this box a couple weeks into February! So now I'm wondering how far into March til I receive February box. Aside from that, Glossybox is still by far my favorite beauty subscription box and this month was pretty good! I received 7 goodies which is pretty amazing. Sorry not all items are pictured, but I did link up on the bottom.

OPI “Can‘t Let Go“ Liquid Sand Nail Lacquer retail $8.00 // My nails currently do not agree to having any polish on, so I haven't tried it, but the color is this gorgeous purple color. I'm excited to try it and concept is pretty neat and definitely unique.

Fresh Umbrian Clay Mattifying Serum retail $35.00// I wore this when hubby and I went to a show and after 3 hours my t-zone was not a shiny mess like it usually would be. Fresh is a great brand with a lot of amazing products and this definitely did not disappoint.

Narciso Rodriguez her Eau de Toilette Spray retail $77.00 // Again with the perfume samples... this one is a more mature musky scent. It's not bad, but just not my favorite.

ESTÉE LAUDER Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara retail $25.00 // Mascaras are not my friend. I have pretty short lashes and whenever I do put on mascara, there is no difference.

Tarte glamazon pure performance 12-hour lipstick in Fierce retail $26.00 // This color is fierce alright! I never wear red lipsticks and my hubby said I looked pretty so that's always a good thing. I love how this lipstick is matte, bold and long wearing.

Sebastian Professional Potion 9 retail $19.00 // Styling my hair is nonexistent in my world unless you call me pulling it into a ponytail. I must of misread what this product is used for because I applied it after I shower and my hair was nice the next day. No frizz or anything.

LE MÉTIER DE BEAUTÉ Replenishing Daily Solution retail $225.00 // The sample alone cost $19! YES, in that small foil packet, gold was inside. Honestly, this was my favorite product this month and I wish I had more, but I'm not willing to shell out $200. My face is incredibly dry and flaky right now and sadly this didn't fix that entirely, but still an amazing product!

November Glossybox

November's Glossybox has arrived and it once again does not disappoint. For $23 a month, I am consistently happy with the majority of products that Glossybox delivers. I am not always 100% satisfied with everything, but for the price point, this box is really, really great. Let's get to the goodies.

1. Epionce Restorative Hand Cream ($19)

This is my favorite product in this month's box. I love the light raspberry scent and how hydrating this hand cream is. The product comes out a bit sticky, but is absorbed quickly and leaves my hands soft and smooth. I love this!

2. Illamasqua LTD Lip & Eye Medium Pencil in Forced (deep slate gray $20)

I felt hesitant to try gray eyeliner, but it turns out it actually looks really nice. It's kind of like wearing black eyeliner but much much softer. I didn't use this on my lips, but as an eyeliner it applied ok as well too. My only complaint is that even with eyeshadow base and concealer I couldn't get this eyeliner to stay in place. After two hours I already started to see it smudge. After 5 hours I had panda eyes! For $20, this is a no go.

3. Arganics by NuMe Argan Oil ($59)

I used four drops of this after washing my hair. After styling, my hair is softer and much more manageable. It wasn't oily at all and it helped to tame my frizzies. If only I had known about hair oils during my hair straightening college days!

4. Perfumies Solid Perfume Stick in Double Rainbow ($7)

This cute little perfume stick is pocket friendly and made from all natural coconut oil and beeswax base. It kind of looks like an elongated chapstick. To me, this smells just like laundry detergent or dishwashing soap. I'm not really a huge fan of perfume because they make my nose itchy, but if you like perfume and clean smelling scents, this should work for you.

5. Skin&Co Roma Truffle Serum: Hydro-Toning Day Face Serum ($36)

This anti-aging Italian serum infused with Peptides, pure extracts of Tuber Melanosporum and Hyaluronic Acid left my face smoother and brighter. Although this doesn't brighten as much as Ole Henrikson's Truth Serum, I still love it. It didn't irritate my skin and it definitely tightened it up as well. Two thumbs up!

September Glossybox

September's Glossybox is all about new products, formulas, technologies and colors of the season. I usually never look on their site or search through Instagram to see what the next box may contain, but after such an amazing box last month, I was curious. I did watch an unboxing on Youtube and I was getting pretty excited to receive my box!

I received Global Keratin shampoo and conditioner. For me personally, I wasn't too thrilled about the samples since we just received some a couple months back. The shampoo is nourished with plant extracts and it'll purify and moisturize the scalp and hair. The condition will put the finishing touch on your tresses and leaves hair smooth, radiant and revitalized. First off, I love the smell of both products. To me, it smells like perfume I either own or have owned before, so that's a plus. I used both shampoo and conditioner and my hair was nice and soft, but I noticed my hair was pretty greasy at the end of the day. Full size is $20 each for 10.1oz

Next product is the Kryolan for Glossybox lip in glossy pink. I think everyone received glossy pink since Kryolan collabrated with Glossybox to create this lipstick. The color is really pretty and is enriched with Vitamin E to stimulate and hydrate lips. It's also a very universal color and will compliment all skin tones. For once, a subscription box has finally given a product that EVERYONE can wear! For me, when I tried it on, the pink was a little bright, but after looking at it for awhile I think it really compliments of my skin tone. Full size is $14 for 0.14oz

The most talked about and raved product is probably the Missha BB Cream. This product is from Korea and if you don't know, BB in BB cream means blemish balm and this multi-use cream provides light coverage, soothes, protects and moisturizes your face. I unfortunately received Natural Beige #23 and when I tested it, it was a little light for my skin tone right now. I think it'll be great to use during winter when my skin gets lighter. Overall, it was a little thicker than my Maybelline BB cream, but it was really smooth to blend out. Full size is $29.99 for 1.69oz

Lastly, I did not receive the makeup remover and I'm not going to lie, I am so sad :( Instead, I received OC 8 Professional Mattifying Gel and it's suppose to control your shine all day long while helping you achieve a fresh and flawless even tone. As disappointed as I was, I did try it on the other day... you're suppose to wear it before you put your makeup on, but I failed to read the instructions and applied it after I put on my BB cream. This stuff is seriously amazing! It was a pretty hot day out and I was out running errands and usually my skin does get really shiny and I was so surprised that at the end of the day, my skin was still flawless and shine free. Full size is $30 for 1.6oz

August Glossybox

It's here! It's here!! I was so excited to find a pink and brown polka dotted box in my mailbox today. I have to say that the August Glossybox products did not disappoint. Inside the box there were five items.

1.Biolage ExquisitOil Replenishing Treatment Retail is $22
2. Ole Henrikson Truth Serum Collagen Booster Retail is $14
3. Illamasqua Nail Varnish Retail is $14
4. Ellis Faas Lipstick Retail is $35
5. Touch In Sol Feel Like Honey Moon Skin Base Retail is $20

I have to say that I was happy with this box. I absolutely love the Ole Henrikson Truth Serum Collagen Booster. This product makes my dry skin look more smooth , bright, and healthy. I also loved my Illamasqua nail varnish which came in a bright pretty peach color which would be flattering in the summer and in the winter. The Biolage Exquisite Oil I am still testing out and so far it just makes me hair a little more oily and I don't see a huge difference. The Ellis Faas lipstick was disappointing, not because of the packaging which is sleek and beautiful but because of the Hershey brown color is came in. I mean if I were trying to sport a gothic color then maybe it could work, but for daily wear this just isn't flattering at all (Update: After trying on this color and applying it lightly, I have to say I really like it. It looks good on a bare face and really stands out). I've yet to try the Touch In Sol honey moon base as I'm waiting for a good makeup day to try it on (I will be back to let you guys know how it worked out).

Overall, for the cost of the box which was $23, this was a GREAT deal and I'm very pleasantly surprised. Thank you Glossybox!

Xoxo,

Jenny

Blushed by Ruddy Water

Let me just say this, from subscribing to Birchbox, I have accumulated quite a bit of perfume samples which I have stashed away in a little baggie. Personally, I really don't like perfume samples and considering you're paying for these boxes to receive them, is a little crazy since you can get them for FREE at department stores. So, when I opened up my Glossybox, I was slightly disappointed, but also very intrigued since it didn't come in a little vile or spray bottle, but in a pouch like those hand sanitizing wipes you get.

Our Premier fragrance Blushed is the perfect scent for day or night, and is loved by women of all ages.

Featuring notes of bright red currant and rich vanilla, wrapped around subtle sweet lemon, slightly spicy ginger, and kissed with a hint of sugar.

This inviting fragrance will mingle with you throughout the day.

Surprisingly, I really loved Blushed by Ruddy Water. I kinda wish it was a candle so I can have it all the time! I really like that it comes in a pouch, perfect to tuck into your clutch/wristlet when you're out on the town and need a little something to freshen up. You can purchase them here for a box of 24 at $22.

Alessandro International Pedix Feet

My feel gets dry easily from wearing flip flops practically year round and lets face it, I do not wear socks. EVER. I feel like they suffocate my toes. Silly I know. I've tried lots of foot lotions in the past, which do work if I'm consistence in applying every night, which I don't after a week. Like I said, I just hate wearing socks. I do get pedicures from time to time whether at home or at the nail salon. I'm always up to try new feet products for my disgustingly dry feet, so when I received some as a sample, I was excited to try it.

The ultimate savior for rough, dry feet! This luxurious cream, enriched with MarinaVital complex, helps prevent the build-up of hard skin with long lasting results. The soothing and effective combination of shea butter, allantoin and tea tree oil provides intensive protection and nourishes skin, leaving it soft and supple.

Benefits

Prevents the formulation of callus
Deepactingcare
Nourishes dry feet with the exclusive MarinaVital® complex and essential oils

Just like all foot creams and lotions, it has the peppermint-like scent, but I feel like this one is a lot more mild than most. I wish the lotion was thicker to really get into all my nooks and crannies. Overall, it was okay. I wasn't very consistent in using the product, but after one use, I did feel like my feet was a little softer. Would I purchase? No. I feel like you can get a cheaper and equally as good product from your local drugstore.
