April 2014 Ipsy Bag

Benefit Lollitint retail $30 // Candy-orchid tint treats lips & cheeks to a “pop” of dreamy sweetness. It’s the flirtiest flush you can get from a bottle…and its smudge-proof, smooch-proof color lasts from A.M. to P.M. Talk about stain power!

Looks So Natural Lash by Kiss retail $3.99 // I don't wear contacts, only glasses, so falsies never really work out for me. Instead, I'm giving these to my friend Noel.

December 2013 Ipsy Bag

I hope everyone has had a happy holiday! Can you believe the year is almost over and it'll be 2014?!

English Laundry Signature retail $72 // Signature Pour Femme By: English Laundry Charming, Delicate & Elegant. Signature opens with quince, complimented by white chocolate and jasmine petals at the heart. For a purely peaceful scent, notes of orris roots, powdery musk and sensual woods have been composed at the base.

Signature By: English Laundry Sophisticated, Masculine & Captivating. Signature is a fragrance with aromatic notes of bergamot, lemon, lavender and cedarwood. Nutmeg and coriander are composed in the middle. Signature reveals a base of sandalwood, vetiver, musk and amber.

Too bad these samples have leaked and more than half is missing, BUT nonetheless, it smells amazing!

POP Beauty Eyeshadow Trio in Smokin Hot retail $24 // I wish I had received the other palette which came with neutral colors. I'll be gifting this to my friend Ana instead.

Be a Bombshell 'The One Stick' in Sunset retail $16 // I was hesitant on this one. It's a coral color with a shimmer, but when I tested it out, it's pretty sheer and blends easily.

Nicka K Nail Polish in Ripe Apple retail $4.99 // Gorgeous color and perfect for the holiday season!

NYX Extra Creamy Lipstick in Apollo retail $4 // In the photo it looks like a burnt orangey color, but it's actually quite nice!

November Ipsy 2013

I have completely forgotten about my November Ipsy bag and I completely apologize for the extreme lateness of it all. November's bag was fun and festive. Can you believe that Glam Glow retails at $279 for just 8oz?! Yea... me neither. Let's just get into what I thought about November's bag shall we?

Em Cosmetics Lengthening Mascara retail $20 // I had high hopes for this product considering it's from Michelle Phan... sadly, it fell short for me. I ended up applying Benefit They're Real Mascara over which really helped.

Be a Bombshell Lip Crayon in Hot Damn retail $14 // It's a really pretty color but it's more on the orange side. I will be gifting this to my friend whose a MUA.

Nailtini Nail Polish in Caviar Cocktail retail $13 // I love receiving nail polishes in my subscriptions, but I get so disappointed when they are colors I never use. This again will also be gifted to a friend.

Pixi Beauty Bronzer in Summertime retail $18 // I am so in love with my Benefit Hoola, I actually have yet to try this.

Starlooks Gem Eye Pencil in Amethyst retail $14 // Way too shimmery for me, but I had gifted this to a friend who absolutely loves it! Thanks Meaghan <3

Youthmud by Glam Glow retail $279 // I LOVED this sample! I love face masks, mud masks, sheet masks... you name it! It was a little messy when applying, but my skin felt great afterwards!

October 2013 Ipsy Bag

Aside from the shadow brush, I am completely underwhelm with this months bag. Or at the least the products I received. The bag looks similar to April's bag, but with a saying on the front. Meh. I personally love Zoya products but was a little disappointed to discover that I received blue metallic. Hopefully November's bag will be better!

Style Sexy Hair Spray Clay Texturizing Spray Clay retail $18.95 // Sexy Hair Spray Clay is a "next generation" of styling gives you the effect of clay in an easy to use spray form. Hold: 7, Shine: 1. Spray Clay allows for a fine and even application to achieve an allover texturized look and is great for all hair types needing added texture and movement with a dry, non-waxy hold.

Classic Shadow Medium Natural BR-C-N02 retail $2.49 // This medium sized, versatile brush is ideal for applying any type of eye shadow. The pony haired bristles are both wide in shape and condensed, while remaining evenly distributed. This allows the artist to uniformly cover the whole eyelid in just a few simple strokes, which saves not only time, but eye shadow as well. This professional cosmetic brush can also be used for shading the crease and highlighting the brow bone with complete precision.

Nourish Organic Body Lotion - Coconut & Argan retail $9.99 // Smooth on this soothing, deeply nourishing organic body lotion that is clinically proven to improve skin elasticity. Moroccan Argan Oil, packed with restorative omega fatty acids, intensely hydrates and replenishes skin. Vitamin-rich coconut oil smoothes and softens skin. I love the non-greasy formula and how quickly it absorbs into my skin but I do not like the scent whatsoever.

Zoya Nail Polish in Neve retail $8 // I absolutely love Zoya products and wish I got a different color! It's a very pretty sapphire blue metallic, but I wish I loved blue polishes!

Mineral Shimmer NSH20 Emotion retail $14.99 // Beautiful color, but I'll be adding this to one of our future giveaways.

8-in-1 Uses:

Creamy Shadow – moisten the brush to create richer, more intense eye color that doesn't crease.

Matte Shadow – mix the Shimmer with Bella Terra's Eye Primer for a matte shadow look.

Eyeliner – wet the tip of an eye liner brush and apply around the lash line for high-intensity eye definition.

Lip Color – mix any of our Shimmers with lip balm or lip gloss to create intense lip color.

Nail Polish – add to clear nail polish for a unique nail color that matches your eye shadow.

Body Glitter – mix with body lotion to create an all-over body shimmer.

Mascara – dip clear-color mascara or Bella Terra's Mascara Primer brush into the Shimmer for amazing lash colors.

Hair Streaks – mix a small amount of Shimmer with hair gel and apply to a strand of hair for a funky, streaked look that easily washes off later.

September Ipsy Bag

It's So Big Volumizing Mascara retail $19.99 // I have pretty short lashes and the mascara didn't do too much for me.

John Frieda Full Repair Full Body Shampoo & John Frieda Full Repair Full Body Conditioner retail $6.59 each // LOVE this set! I've seen them in stores, but glad that Ipsy sent me some samples instead. It smells really good and it makes my hair incredibly soft while I shower and the following day.

NYX Single Eye Shadow in Deep Violet retail $4.50 // I'm not very adventurous in my color choices and this deep violet is sort of outside my comfort zone, but nonetheless, it's a pretty color. I haven't worn it out yet, but it'd look nice as a smokey eye or in my case, turn it into a eyeliner.

Starslooks Kohl Eye Pencil in Obsidian retail $12 // I haven't used eye pencils in YEARS! I love how dark the color is and the staying power was so-so.

August Ipsy Bag

I am so excited for this month's Ipsy bag! I would have to say that this bag and the cheetah print one is by far my favorite, as well as the contents. Here's what I got for this month:

Pixi Beauty Lash Booster Mascara retail $17 // I don't wear mascara much since my lashes are short and most times then not, lash boosters or any kind of boosters do not help. Truthfully, I have yet to use this. An update to come later.

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in 69 retail $22 // I have been eyeing Urban Decay's new line of lipstick and was so excited to receive it in my August bag! I received the color #69 and it is a bright pinky red. Very bold. I love that it's matte.

Michael Todd Pumpkin Rich Facial Mask retail $34 // The pumpkin scent reminds of dog food my dog has had in the past. I was pretty excited to try this product... applied it, THEN READ THE TUBE about sensitive skin.... wait a minute and my face started to burn. I had it on for a total of a minute and had to rinse it off immediately.

Mica Beauty Mineral Eye Shadow in Bronze retail $14.95 // Nice color, but I didn't try this product since I already have so many mineral eye shadows. I think I'll put this away and end up doing a giveaway.

Tini Beauty Nail Polish in Mai Tai retail $13 // I personally do not care for orange polishes, so this one will also be stored away for a giveaway.

July Ipsy Bag

Sorry for the extremely late post on my July Ipsy bag! Last month's bag was a huge miss for me... From the bag to majority of the contents except Coola Mineral Face Sunscreen which isn't pictured. That, I actually liked except the scent was extremely off putting for me. Smelled nothing like roses! Very metallic bloody scent *barf*

I'm really looking forward to August's bag and I promise, I will try to get that post out as quickly as I possibly can.

June Ipsy Bag

I am so sorry for the late review, but I received my June Ipsy bag while I was away on my mini vacation and just now got around to posting about it. This is my second "bag" and so far I'm 50/50 on it. This month I received 4 out 5 full size products which is actually pretty good considering the bag itself is only $10. I think Ipsy has improved a lot in the last year with their products and I shouldn't really complain since it's only $10 a month.

This is what I received this month:

Psssst! The TRUE Original Dry Shampoo retail $13.98 // I've tried a couple dry shampoos in the last year and I was pretty excited to receive this in my bag. I have pretty oily hair if I don't wash it every single day, so Thank God for dry shampoos! The scent is pleasant and the spray is pretty powerful. It didn't leave any white residue in my hair (i have black hair) and my hair doesn't feel like a giant grease ball. For their full size (5.3 oz I believe), it's $14 which is a tad expensive compared to my current favorite at 7oz for only around $6.

Cailyn Gel Liner in 06 Purple retail $24.00 // Finally a eyeliner that's not liquid or pencil! I personally love gel liners and am loving my Tarte Amazonian Clay liner in Black, but a dark purple is a nice change up. One of the things I absolutely love about this product is the fact that the brush is attached to the product. The color is really nice and buildable. Staying power is great too!

JCat Sparkling Cream Palette in Suzie retail $4.49 // I love glitter as much as the next girl, but honestly, what am I going to do with this palette?! It's intended for body use, but how many of us can say that we use glitter on our body on a daily basis? I know I definitely do not. I'm sure this palette would be great during Halloween or if you're a performer and need that extra sparkle.

Starlooks IPSY featured lip liner in Tipsy retail $12.00 // I didn't bother to open this one and has been stashed away in my goodies box. The color itself looks like a coral-y red, but I don't have any lipstick that goes a long with it... unless Ipsy plans to ship me the lipstick for July.

NYX Rouge Cream Blush in CB11 Boho Chic retail $6.00 // Another unopened product. I think the color is really pretty, but I personally do not like cream blushes. This product will also be stashed away in the goodies box or will be in a giveaway.

Overall, the bag itself is only $10, but with the products of this month, it's about $50 worth. If you're interested in trying out Ipsy, please click here to join! :)

April's Ipsy Bag

Sorry for the extremely late post on my first Ipsy bag! First off, I don't know why, but my bag was here in WA, but decided to take a trip to CA and then back to here. Odd, I know. When I finally received the hot pink bubble mailer I was so excited! I'm not too thrilled about the bag itself though, but the items inside were okay and I was just happy that nothing broke in transit.

Sexy Hair Powder Play retail $15.95 // Originally, I was hoping to get the Soy hair shampoo because it's one of my favorite every day shampoo. I don't normally style my hair so I received the Powder play, I wasn't too thrilled, but I think it will be good product to use when I attend a wedding next month.

Sation Nail Lacquer in Love At First Byte retail $5.00 // The color I received is a peachy flesh tone nude and I have to say, it looks horrible on me! What I do like about the product is that it's Formaldehyde, DBP & Toluene Free.

Be A Bombshell Blush in Beach Please retail $16.00 // This blush is really bright and very pigmented! HOLYMOLY. A little definitely goes a looooong way with this one.

Mica Beauty Mineral Eye Shadow in Earth retail $14.95 // This product is extremely gentle, free of preservatives, chemicals, dyes, talc, oils, and other fillers. The color? Absolutely gorgeous! It's a light shimmery color and I like that it's over shimmery where my eyes are like disco balls.

Overall, this bag didn't impress me much, but I'm definitely looking forward to May's bag which looks pretty promising.

Thanks for reading and sorry for taking so long to write a review!
