First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

Hello beauties!

I hope you're having a good Monday and that life or work is off to a great start. Today I will be reviewing First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream ($28). I decided to pick this moisturizer up in Sephora because I saw that it's good for people with eczema, and it's only $28 for a pretty big tub.

I really love the whipped texture of this cream and I liked how it's advertised for the face and body. I've been using it for a few weeks now on my face and neck and it's ok. I like the way it goes on the skin, but it leaves me with minor breakouts on my face. Not so much huge pimples, but more like my skin feels rougher.

I think I would rather just have this in my bathroom to use on my neck and rest of my body. I would recommend this if you have dry skin that isn't sensitive. For that, I think it's great value. However, it wasn't a perfect match for my super sensitive skin. And the search for a cheaper high quality moisturizer continues...

Korres Wild Rose Cream

Hello beauties,

Today's review will be on the Korres Wild Rose skin care line. I got these both through Sephora and I'm really happy with them. The Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturizing & Brightening Cream ($35) is really nice and has a distinctive rose scent to it. It comes in a generous glass pot and I could see myself using this for around two months. I have super dry skin so I run through face creams like water. It leaves my skin super soft and hydrated. The texture is creamy without being sticky or too thick. It's just right. As for anti-aging I don't see much tightening in my skin, but that's fine with me. For $35, I think it's a really nice face cream. I will definitely be purchasing this again.

I like the Wild Rose + Vitamin C Advanced Brightening Sleeping Facial ($48) just as much. It leaves my skin soft and smooth the next day with no irritation. Yup I would buy this again too.

November Sample Society Box

Hi everyone!

November's Sample Society box has dropped and it's a mixed bag of goodies. Some stuff is alright and some of it is awesome. I got a mini Illume candle in our my this month, yay!! Let's take a look at what else was inside..

1. Borghese Splendore Brightening Makeup (full size $29.50)- Be glamorous and gorgeous with a hint of shimmer. Splendore Brightening Makeup gives a subtle glow that brightens any complexion. This light-diffusing liquid camouflages imperfections and veils fine lines. I tried this over my usual skin care routine and it didn't do much except give my face a subtle hint of shimmer. I'll have to mix it in with my bb cream next time.

2. Annick Goutal Eau d'Hadrien Eau de Toilette (full size $92)- Tonic, zesty, sparkling, refined, subtle and fresh at the same time Eau d'Hadrien is the ultimate timeless fragrance for men and women with notes of Sicilian Lemon, Citron and Grapefruit, the scent is both sportive and chic.



3. Illume Balsam & Cedar Large Harlow Jar (full size $36)- Whoo hooo!!! Another candle in my box. This candle smells like Christmas trees and fresh pine cones. It smells soo good. Normally scented candles make my allergies go crazy, but Illume ones are so subtle and nice. This one is going directly into my travel bag so I can take the holiday spirit with me. I absolutely love it! Our Balsam and Cedar Large Harlow Jar features a comforting blend of fresh balsam and oak moss intertwined with aromatic cedar wood, cinnamon and eucalyptus to create the very essence of the holiday season. Up to 70 hour burn time.

4. Jane Iredale Lip Drink Lip Balm (full size $12)- Meh. Before I even try this product I have to say that the sample is so flimsy and feels like it's going to snap any second. Jane Iredale LipDrink - SPF 15 is a drink for the lips. This colorless lip balm contains no petroleum-derived ingredients to dry out the lips, making lips feel moist and smooth. Providing Broad Spectrum SPF 15 and UVA P++ protection, LipDrink is a refreshing treat.



5. Murad Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture (full size $65)- Meet the single most hydrating moisturizer Murad has ever offered. Ultra-concentrated and intensely hydrating, this velvety cream provides all-day moisture, smoothness and comfort - leaving your skin positively radiant. This moisturizer is simple and nice. It kept my skin hydrated all day!

Skinfood Water Drop Facial Ice Vita Cream

My husband is seriously the best! Before he left Korea (after being there a year), he got me a bunch of products from Skinfood which I am so excited about. A lot of the products I wanted were either discontinued or they didn't sell it, but this one is from their new line of products. I do admit that what attracted me to this in the first place was the packaging. Asian beauty/cosmetic companies have the prettiest and cutest packaging!

I personally love this gel cream. It's very light weight and cooling when you apply. It's not sticky and absorbs quickly. Smells like cucumbers or something light and fresh. Perfect moisturizer for the summer months especially for us girls who have dry skin.

Freeman Eclos Skincare

I received a perk from Klout awhile back to try out Freeman Eclos products which is mostly targeted towards women who wants to fight wrinkles. I admit, I really don't have any wrinkles at the ripe age of 29.5, but it's never too early to start right?

Skin Prep Cleanser // retail $14.99 I have a couple face washes in my shower that I like to rotate depending on how my skin feels. This one is formulated with chamomile and cucumber to soothe, revitalize and hydrate skin which is nice since my face can get pretty dry even during the summer months. I like that it leaves my face pretty squeaky clean without leaving any film behind.

Moisture Therapy Regenerative Cream // retail $24.99 At first, I was pretty excited to try out this product because I love moisturizers that I can use day and night. The first night I used it, my face felt sticky after a hour of applying it. I have dogs... I don't want to go to bed with a hairy face! When I woke up the next morning, my face felt smooth and replenished.

Daily HydraPrimer SPF 30 // retail $15.99 Whhhhhhhy does this product come out brown?! I read the package looking to see if it was one of those tinted primers, but it's not. It has iron oxides which provides a light tint; broad spectrum SPF provides UV defense. Truthfully, I am not a fan of this product. It goes on pretty smooth, but my face feels dry and rough. It was recommended to apply under your foundation, but I skip that step and it rubs off pretty easily.

Aubrey Skin Care

Hello everyone!

So recently I've gone back to exploring all kinds of organic products. I also made a new discovery which is Mother's Market, an organic market/restaurant that also carries an amazing selection of natural skin care items. Basically, heaven! After browsing through the many different skin care lines, I decided to give Aubrey skin care a try. I have really dry and sensitive skin which constantly leaves me searching for products with simple yet effective ingredients. I chose the Revitalizing Therapy Toner ($12) and the Revitalizing Therapy Moisturizer ($18) for dry skin.

I've been using these both for two weeks now and my skin looks great! It's not irritated and it's not dry either. I've also been pairing it with my Ole Henrikson Vitamin C serum in the meantime and it seems to work well for my skin. It's consistency is just right, not too heavy and not too liquid. Two to three pumps is all I need to cover my face, neck, and chest. The moisturizer has vitamin E (great for skin!) and organic Rosa Mosqueta Oil a natural antioxidant. The product is completely organic, and for 18 dollars I really think it's a steal.

The toner is great as well. I spray some on a cotton pad and use it to remove the extra dirt and grime on my face and to level out the ph in my skin. Toner is important because it balances your ph level so that all nutrients can be equally absorbed into your skin.

If you're interested in Aubrey products, I suggest going to your nearest Mother's Market to test out some of their products. The store has testers for pretty much all of their beauty items. June Sample Society Box

Hi everyone! My June Sample Society Box has come in the mail and it's a great value box. Last month's box was underwhelming for me, but this month's box has lots of awesome stuff, including a small candle! Let's look at what was inside.



1. Stila Cosmetics Lip Glaze In Apricot (full size $22)- This lip gloss looked so pretty in the tube I didn't even want to try it. Mmmmmm it smells like apricot candy! It smells so good and juicy. The color on me pretty much looks clear with a tiny bit of shimmer. The texture is sticky.

2. Diptyque Eau Moheli (full size $98)- Diptyque's exclusive summer scent hits all the right notes: spicy, floral and green thanks to ylang-ylang, black currant, pink peppercorn and pachouli. Although, I'm not a huge perfume person myself, Diptyque makes wonderful perfumes. This one in particular reminds me of the gardenias my grandma plants in her backyard. If you're looking for elegant, floral, and classic scents, Diptyque is the way to go.

3. Philosophy Hope in a Jar (full size $40)- I've always seen this at Sephora and wanted to try it, but I never took the plunge. So when I saw it in my box I was pretty excited. This moisturizer was really lightweight and absorbed super fast into my skin. It had an interesting smell. At first, it smelled really chemical, but on closer inspection it kind of smells like licorice. I'm not a big fan of the smell to be honest. The product itself is pretty good. It doesn't keep my skin as tight as my other products, but it does a nice job of brightening up my skin.

4. Murad Age Reform AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser (full size $36)- Polish away dullness and locked-in impurities with Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser, which utilizes a trio of gentle exfoliating acids. I really liked this lightweight cream cleanser. It had small exfoliating beads in it and it felt so gentle on my face. It says for optimal results to use it 2-3 times a week.



5. Illume Desert Tulip Tin (full size $22)- I'm sooo excited I got a mini candle in my box this month. Isn't it pretty? It has a light floral scent with notes of red tulip, raspberry, and musk. These would make awesome gifts for girlfriends. The mini ones are $9 each! I wouldn't mind if Sample Society sent me a candle every month. :)

April Glossybox

April Glossybox! I was pretty ecstatic about this box after seeing an unboxing on Youtube. Was it just me, but did anyone else not receive a tracking number? That was pretty annoying. So, let's get out with the products for April.

Tigi Blush in Glow retail $22 // Must be blush season because this is the second one I've received for the month of April. The packaging is pretty cheap, but the color is absolutely gorgeous. I think this is one of those products where it'll be universally liked and looks greats on everyone. When I first swatched it, it was pretty pigmented and very pink, but when I applied it (with a gentle hand of course) it was the perfect shade. Definitely one of my favorite items I received this month.

Honest Organic Lip Balm in Be Simple retail 3pk for $10.95 // I am so jelly jelly of everyone who received a scented lip balm! I received Be Simple which is plan unscented. Boriiiiing. Aside from the boring scent, I love that they are made from organic jojoba and oils from olives, sunflowers and coconuts. Tahititian Tamanu oil, rich with Omega 6 & 9. Nothing but the best ingredients! Thanks Jessica Alba and friends.

Jenny's two cents- Hi guys! I'm adding into Yen's blog post. I loved this lip balm. I got the lavender mint scent and feels and smells minty on my lips. I love how it glides across my lips and I like to use it before I start my day and before I go to sleep.

Wash with Joe Coffee Mint Body Wash retail $28 // The one thing I was looking forward to turned into a huge disappointment! When I first sniffed the scent, it reminded me of the stuff you put in your dog's water to help freshen their breath. Then, when I tried to use it in the shower? I think the bottle itself is made out of hard plastic because I couldn't squeeze out the product. What's the point of having a spout on top if the bottle isn't squeezable. Yea... that was a problem. On top of that, the liquid was thin and brown which looked really gross. And the smell? Horrible! Did it work? I didn't feel extremely invigorating after. I think this is a great product for the men in our lives. Especially mine who wakes up at 4:45AM every day. I would like it more if the scent was sweeter or creamier.

Alterna Bamboo Style Boho Waves Tousled Texture Mist retail $22 // Hair styling products is one of those samples I hate to receive just like how everyone hates those perfume samples. My hair looks the same 364.5 days of the year. Yes, I'm incredibly boring like that. I have yet to try it, but I am curious to see how this will hold up in my fine, straight but thick hair.

Jenny's two cents- Ok, so I did try this product and I have really thick and wavy hair so unfortunately this product didn't do much for me. It pretty looked like I spent the at the beach and my hair looked bigger and windblown.

Bulgari Bath Tea Bag retail $9.50 // Can you believe this is worth $9.50?! Yeaaa me neither. I actually haven't used this. I rarely take baths, but I'm thinking of hanging it up in the shower instead. I have to say though, best concept ever! Everything in a neat little pouch... still getting the same benefit but without the mess.

Le Metier Replenishing Daily Solution retail $225 // I remembered we received this back in the Man Repeller box and this stuff is liquid gold! At $225 for 1.70oz? Way way overpriced. Even if I was ballllin', I wouldn't spend this much on a product.

Jenny's two cents- Whyyy oh why is this product 225 dollars?? I tried it and it was awesome. It made my skin look smoother, my pores look a lot smaller, and the redness go away. Honestly, it really works and if it were in my price range (like $60) I would repurchase it in a heart beat.

Koh Gen Do All In One Moisture Gel

How are you all doing? Today's review will be on Koh Gen Do's All In One Moisture Gel $62. Recently I have been switching up my moisturizers quite a bit. I was first introduced to Koh Gen Do products when I received a Cleansing Spa Water in one of my previous Glossyboxes. Since I was so pleased with the result, I decided to give this new brand a try. Normally I wouldn't splurge so much on a moisturizer, but since I am getting older and my skin isn't getting any younger, I decided that it's time to up my skin routine a bit.

If I had the choice to splurge on skin care or makeup, I would definitely put skin care first. When I was younger I didn't have the best skin. It was combination, dry, and I had spots here and there. To be honest, keeping a strict skin care regime, working out and eating right has really changed the appearance of my skin. Also, drinking water really helps too.

Ok, enough with my babble. The consistency of this moisturizer is a light gel that is a little bit sticky. I like it because it spreads and absorbs really nicely into my skin. There is nothing worse than trying to rub a stubborn product into your skin, it's like spreading cold butter on a piece of bread. It just doesn't work. The best part is that it makes my skin look dewy and it doesn't melt off easily either. I mostly like how light it is and that it's made with many natural ingredients.

I have been using it alone on my face for about two weeks now and I don't see any huge improvements in my skin, but my skin does look nicely hydrated. I plan on testing out more Koh Gen Do products in the future and layering a serum with this moisturizer. Thank you so much for reading! :)

Today I will be reviewing Weleda's Almond Soothing Natural Facial Lotion ($24.50). I've seen Weleda products in Whole Foods and also in Germany and I've been curious to try it ever since. Weleda makes everything from skin care to hair care to baby care products. Their mission is to create natural products from fair trade partnerships. With all the chemicals that go into makeup and skincare these days, I am constantly on the hunt for organic and natural beauty products. I chose this one because it has simple ingredients and it's affordable as well.

"Sensitive combination skin gets balanced day or night with our light fragrance-free and hypoallergenic Almond Soothing Facial Lotion. This moisturizer with organic sweet almond oil gently restores your skin’s natural balance and strengthens its protective barrier without irritating your skin.

The lotion consistency is medium and it absorbs quickly into the skin without being greasy or heavy. Although I do wish the lotion was even more thin so that it needs less spreading with my fingers. I have been using it for about a week now and my skin hasn't shown any signs of irritation, which is good. I like how simple this moisturizer is and that it smells like sweet almonds! It's also hydrating enough for my dry skin. Using something organic and natural is important to me, and I would repurchase this in the future. January Glossybox: Man Repeller

I was really excited for the Man Repeller collab box, but the wait was overwhelmingly disappointing. As we know, Glossybox has a tendency to show up at our door step closer to the end of the month and I got this box a couple weeks into February! So now I'm wondering how far into March til I receive February box. Aside from that, Glossybox is still by far my favorite beauty subscription box and this month was pretty good! I received 7 goodies which is pretty amazing. Sorry not all items are pictured, but I did link up on the bottom.

OPI “Can‘t Let Go“ Liquid Sand Nail Lacquer retail $8.00 // My nails currently do not agree to having any polish on, so I haven't tried it, but the color is this gorgeous purple color. I'm excited to try it and concept is pretty neat and definitely unique.

Fresh Umbrian Clay Mattifying Serum retail $35.00// I wore this when hubby and I went to a show and after 3 hours my t-zone was not a shiny mess like it usually would be. Fresh is a great brand with a lot of amazing products and this definitely did not disappoint.

Narciso Rodriguez her Eau de Toilette Spray retail $77.00 // Again with the perfume samples... this one is a more mature musky scent. It's not bad, but just not my favorite.

ESTÉE LAUDER Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara retail $25.00 // Mascaras are not my friend. I have pretty short lashes and whenever I do put on mascara, there is no difference.



Tarte glamazon pure performance 12-hour lipstick in Fierce retail $26.00 // This color is fierce alright! I never wear red lipsticks and my hubby said I looked pretty so that's always a good thing. I love how this lipstick is matte, bold and long wearing.

Sebastian Professional Potion 9 retail $19.00 // Styling my hair is nonexistent in my world unless you call me pulling it into a ponytail. I must of misread what this product is used for because I applied it after I shower and my hair was nice the next day. No frizz or anything.

LE MÉTIER DE BEAUTÉ Replenishing Daily Solution retail $225.00 // The sample alone cost $19! YES, in that small foil packet, gold was inside. Honestly, this was my favorite product this month and I wish I had more, but I'm not willing to shell out $200. My face is incredibly dry and flaky right now and sadly this didn't fix that entirely, but still an amazing product!

Burt's Bees: Intense Hydration

I'm a Bzz Agent and I was so excited to see a campaign for some Burt's Bees products! These are right up my alley too. First, I'm kinda old and my skin has gotten pretty dry in the last year or so. I've tried many moisturizers and face products for my dry skin and they work for a week or so and my skin goes back to being dry, flaky and dull.

The first product I tried was the intense hydration cream cleanser. It's a very creamy texture and when you rinse it off, you get that squeaky clean feeling. My skin felt incredibly soft afterwards. The cleanser retails at $9.99. By far one of my favorite cleansers.

The intense hydration night cream is the thickest cream I have ever put on my face! Oh, ummm that sounded kinda dirty. I don't use the night cream daily but I like that it absorbs into my skin quickly and it's non-greasy. This product retails at $17.99.

Lastly, I received the intense hydration treatment mask. I absolutely looooove this product! The only down fall to this product is that you're suppose to apply it and then wipe it off, but the first time I used it, I had nothing to wipe off so I kept it on like a regular cream. My face was incredibly smooth and my dull skin was definitely revitalized the next morning. This product retails at $17.99 and completely worth it!

Overall, the brand Burt's Bees has many amazing products and I was so lucky to try out their intense hydration line through Bzz Agent.

September Birchbox

I finally cancelled Birchbox this morning, so this is my last box. I've only been with them since around March, but after joining Glossybox, I honestly don't get too excited for Birchbox anymore. Plus, this is possibly my only second favorite box out of all of them. September's box was focused on Fashion Week and the Fall season, so birchbox teamed up with Color Club to create a couple custom shades. I'm so excited that i received Insta-This which is like a cobalt blue which is one of the most popular colors right now.

Other than the nail polish, I am so excited for Skin, An Apothecary soy body whip in Poppy. The scent itself is really light and floral. I like that it doesn't make my skin greasy either. Twirl by Kate Spade is my kind of perfume. Adding that to my wishlist of perfumes. As for the twistbands, it's my first and the concept itself is cool, but I feel like you can run out to Joann's and make your own! I also received Jouer matte moisture tint which isn't my exact color, but I feel like if I used it, it'd give me a nice tan look. I think this is my third Jouer sample and I just don't like them. First off, ALL their samples are really tiny and it's more of a one time use. Lastly, I received Hollywood fashion tape. HMM. I can't complain TOO much since I did see someone receive the plastic ziploc bag. I have no clue what I'm going to do with these, but I'll keep it just in case.

Korres Pomegranate Regimen Kit

Last weekend was the grand opening of TJ Maxx in Puyallup and on a whim and well, out of boredom, I decided to head out there praying that most people will be at the fair. Boy was I incredibly wrong! Even though I got lucky with parking, but the store was packed with 90% women packing their carts like the store was closing business, they've never seen clothes before or this is their first time being outside shopping. It was insane! My main goal was getting a kettle and only a kettle, but $60 later, I did get a kettle and a few birthday gifts for my best friend and Korres pomegranate regiment kit which retails for $30, but I got it for half. I've been a fan of Korres products for a really long time now and finding this at half the price was just as exciting as trying out new things.



It's been a week since using the pomegranate scrub and pomegranate cream-gel. I've used the white tea facial cleanser and the evening eye cream a couple times, which are really good! I have pretty dry skin from time to time especially near my mouth and where my t-zone is. The first time I used the pomegranate scrub, my face was incredibly smooth after. What I love the most about the scrub was how much of the exfoliating beads there was! Some of the products I've used in the past just doesn't cut it, but this was amazing! The cream-gel is really nice too and the scent is light and fresh since I know my face can be sensitive to heavily fragrant moisturizers.

For the price I paid, it was definitely worth it and I still have a lot of product left to use. Also, I recommend only using the scrub maybe every other day or once a week. It'll leave your skin dry if you try to use it every day.

Tropical Alba Trio

Hello girls,

Here are a couple of my favorite things from Alba, an organic skin care line that I love. The Jasmine & Vitamin E Moisture Cream is fantastic because it is lightweight, smells nice, and is completely affordable at $19.49. As for the Pineapple Quench lip balm, I can't even tell you how many lip balm brands I have tried, but this one is my favorite! It goes on light, smells like a piña colada, and doesn't end up drying out my lips. It costs $2.50 and comes in other flavors like Passion Fruit and Coconut. Mmm!

Finally, the Green Tea Eye Gel is great specifically for dark under eye circles. It's about $15 as well and can be found in Whole Foods.
