Every so often the makeup gods send down to earth a wonderful makeup set that is beautiful and universally flattering. I am so thrilled with my Tarte Gifts From The Lipstick Tree Achiote Color Collection ($42). This is one of the prettiest, most natural makeup sets I have ever owned. The set comes with a blush, a lipsurgence (tinted lip balm), and lip gloss. The colors lean warm and would be flattering on light, medium, and deep skin tones. When swatched it's like a pink/red/peach all rolled into one. Tarte describes it as a honeysuckle color. It's so beautiful.
Normally, I really do not like to wear heavy makeup and this set is perfect for anyone who loves natural looking makeup. I love how Tarte actually color coordinated everything. My favorite thing about this lip set is surprisingly the color of the lip gloss. The lip gloss isn't too sticky, and the blush goes on light and is easily buildable. I would recommend this set to you if you love makeup that is subtle but pretty. I would also recommend this set if you tend to look good in peach, pink, or terra cotta colored blush. I hope Tarte never stops making this set. Yay!
